A US charity that raises money and grants it to vetted Colombian partners in education, health, water, environment and humanitarian aid — its allies include TECHO, Fe y Alegría and Juanfe. The simplest tax-deductible route from the United States into Colombian-run organizations.
Grupo Éxito's foundation. Since 2013 it has led Gen Cero, a national campaign to end chronic child malnutrition in Colombia, funding nutrition and mother-and-baby care through partner programs across the country.
Works with teenage mothers and their babies: health care, psychosocial support, schooling, job training and placement. A whole-family model built to break the cycle of poverty rather than hand out a single kit.
Family-based care for children who have lost parental care, and programs that keep at-risk families together, in more than ten locations — including Quibdó and Tumaco on the Pacific coast.

A small monthly gift lets an organization plan staff and programs. Unrestricted money goes where it is needed most, not where it photographs best.
Many Colombian nonprofits in the special tax regime can issue a certificado de donación that may lower your income tax. Ask before you give.
Organizations like TECHO build with trained volunteers. Showing up unannounced, however well meant, usually costs staff time.
Child-protection organizations warn that short-term visits to children’s homes can harm the children they mean to help; family-based care is the model to support. And any appeal asking for a transfer to a personal account should be treated as unverified until you can check it independently.
